Investing in the daytime
For any fat burner that contains a stimulant (such as T5 fat burners) then it’s best to take it in the morning and early afternoon. This should help manage your appetite throughout the day, give you plenty of energy to get through your workout and stop you staying awake all night! Remember that sleeping well goes hand in hand with weight loss. You cannot expect to lose weight if you aren’t getting at least the recommended 8 hours of sleep.
Shannon Clark says in her article on bb.com that the best time for fat burners is with your meals and exercise routines. Take a pill a few hours before every meal you’re having during the day and before every workout.
If you are new to taking fat burners you may consider taking just 2 doses per day. Take one at your hungriest point of the day and another right before cardio. It is up to you to decide what time this will be and plan accordingly.
Also, you may experience the temptation to take an increased dosage to try and ‘multiply’ the effect, but this can be dangerous – particularly with stimulant-based fat burners. Stick to the recommended dosage, and increase the dosage over time if suggested by the manufacturer. This is so as to give you enough time to understand your side effects.
So, the simple rules for timing your fat burners:
- Avoid taking supplements after 5pm – ideally not after 2pm
- Try to take them with food – typically breakfast and lunch
- Start off slowly with 2 pills a day and build on your dose
- Cycle your usage so that your body does not get used to the stimulants in fat burners
No need to see all your hard work in the gym and the money you’ve spent on supplements go to waste. Time your supplementation properly and you’ll really see the benefit of thermogenics and appetite suppressants.
