T5 is an increasingly popular fat burning supplement being used for it’s claimed fat loss, appetite suppressing and metabolism boosting benefits. They contain a range of stimulants designed to increase the total calories burned at rest, as well as providing additional energy to help users exercise more frequently.
There are various brands available, typically with variations in ingredients and different amounts of the core ingredients in each version. This makes it difficult to give concrete advice on the use of the pills, as there’s little to no standardisation of the ingredients.
There are some common ingredients across the majority of the products, however – Green Tea, Bitter Orange, Guarana, Caffeine Anhydrous and, in some cases Ephedrine/Ephedra.

The Benefits of T5 Fat Burners
The majority of ingredients used in T5 slimming pills have been shown to have some positive effects on metabolic rate , so they can be used as an effective fat burning supplement when combined with the right diet.
Some people will feel the benefits of T5 more than others – generally it will be those with their diet in order who are performing regular exercise, using fat burners for a slight additional benefit rather than as their sole approach to weight loss.
If you’re planning on using them as the mythical ‘magic pill’ to help drop a few pounds without changing your diet or getting up off the sofa you’ll be sorely disappointed.
T5 Tablets – Side Effects
T5 pills have a number of potential side effects which are common to most stimulant-based supplements. Rather than generalise about the side effects of T5 fat burners as a whole, we’ll look at the potential side effects of each of the most commonly used ingredients.
A very common and widely available product, Green Tea is generally safe and free from side effects for most adults. Some people may experience some stomach discomfort and constipation, and excessive consumption can be dangerous due to the caffeine content, but overall there are very few risks with Green Tea.
The high caffeine content of the Guarana seed means that the effects are largely similar to those of caffeine. Common side effects include restlessness, anxiety, upset stomach and problems sleeping.
The side effects of caffeine use are fairly well known, but used in moderation it’s safe for most adults. Large doses of caffeine can cause symptoms like headaches, restlessness, sleep issues and anxiety.
Generally safe when consumed in smaller amounts, although there have been some concerns raised of its use in fat loss supplements, particularly when combined with caffeine. Bitter orange contains a chemical called synephrine, which is similar to ephedrine – excessive consumption could lead to elevated blood pressure, fainting and potentially even heart attacks for vulnerable individuals. Other potential side effects include headaches/migraines and restlessness.
Ephedra has been used for centuries through Chinese traditional medicine, and is used to treat a number of conditions by stimulating the central nervous system. It gained popularity in the fitness world through its use in the ECA stack, which remains one of the strongest and most effective fat burners on the market.
Ephedrine has a similar effect to amphetamines, suppressing appetite and increasing resting metabolic rate. There are various potential side effects, including the risk of heart attack or stroke if used in higher doses or those with pre-existing conditions.
Who Should Use T5 Slimming Pills?
It should go without saying that only adults should be using these products, and only after consulting with their doctor that they’re healthy enough to handle the associated side effects.
Those with a low tolerance for stimulants will likely have issues using the products, and those with any history of heart issues or blood pressure issues would be well-advised to stay away.
For those in good health and who already have their diet in check, T5 pills can provide an additional boost to weight loss, although it’s important to reiterate that they should only be used in addition to a sensible diet and exercise routine.
